Labour hike to police tax doing nothing to cut rising crime
The Labour Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) has presided over a 79% increase in the local tax precept since 2013/14 - the largest increase across England of any force since then.

“The Labour PCC has put the West Midlands at the top of the tax league table for the highest increase of any police forces in England, presiding over a 79% increase in our local precept since 2013/14. Yet at the same time crime continues to rise, police stations continue to close while the Labour PCCs growing office is taking ever-more money away from frontline policing. We need a change of management to focus resources and efforts to get crime down, and as PCC I will deliver a robust approach to tackle crime and not more politics and bureaucracy.”
